2017 Toyota Camry
The 2017 outing of the Camry remains mostly unchanged from previous model years. Toyota has added a couple of high end features to the top trim levels, but, otherwise, has left the beloved sedan alone.
The 2017 Toyota Camry's four trim levels all come standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers 178 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque.
However, the top two trim levels (the XSE and XLE trims) come with your choice of engines. They can be upgraded to a 3.5-liter V6 that offers 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque.
Camry Safety and Efficiency
The 2017 Toyota Camry has received perfect scores on a number of crash tests for safety. Plus, it comes equipped with Toyota's superb safety features built in, including:
- Front, side, and backseat airbags
- Electronic Stability Control
- Braking assistance system
- Lane departure warning system
- Blind sport monitors
Both Camry engines get similar fuel economy, with the four-cylinder averaging about 24 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, and the V6 getting around 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg.
However, for maximum fuel efficiency, don't miss the Toyota Camry hybrid that the carmaker released several years ago. All the roominess, comfort, and luxury you get across the Camry family, but with an ultra-efficient hybrid engine.
